  • What age can my child start learning martial arts?
    We welcome children as young as 4 or 5 years old. All new students will have a FREE introductory class before joining the group class. Please schedule yours using our Calendly.
  • Do I need any prior experience to start learning karate?
    No prior experience is necessary to start learning karate. Martial arts can be learned by individuals of all ages and fitness levels. Whether you are a complete beginner or have some previous martial arts experience, karate classes are designed to accommodate and cater to all skill levels.
  • What are the membership options and class frequency requirements at WCWMA Fremont for different skill levels?
    At WCWMA Fremont, we offer membership options tailored to suit various skill levels and learning needs. Our basic membership for beginners includes 2-3 classes per week, which provides a solid foundation in martial arts techniques and principles. As students progress to intermediate and advanced levels, the curriculum becomes more comprehensive, requiring more frequent attendance to master the increased number of skills and techniques. This structured approach ensures that all students, regardless of their starting point, can achieve their martial arts goals efficiently and effectively. For over 26 years, WCWMA Fremont has been dedicated to impacting and empowering our community through high-quality martial arts education.
  • What equipment do I need for karate classes?
    In most cases, beginners are not required to purchase any equipment initially. Lil Dragon Green and Jr. Green Belts will need a full sparring protective equipment.
  • What attire do I need?
    You will be given a uniform when you start the program. Please do not wear dresses or pajamas under your uniform. You will need to wear your uniform to attend class.
  • Why do classes get cancelled?
    Classes are typically canceled due to various reasons, including tournaments, boot camps, black belt testing, color belt testing and holidays.
